Wolframalpha

Wolframalpha is not your typical search engine. Actually it’s not a search engine at all it’s a knowledge engine. Basically all you have to do is place a question or anything in the box and click enter. For example if you search google it will give you everything about google the finacial entity. You can also tell it Google as a domain and it will tell you the name, number of employees, worth of company, page views and much more.

Wikipedia Definition:

Wolfram Alpha (also written WolframAlpha and Wolfram|Alpha) is an answer-engine developed by Wolfram Research. It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from structured data, rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine might. It was announced in March 2009 by British scientist Stephen Wolfram, and was released to the public on May 15, 2009

Export as PDF:

You can export the results as a pdf file for offline or later viewing. Although this is still in the experimental stage, I haven’t found any flaws with it. I haven’t been able to export different definitions. For example when you search “Google” you get the financial entity of google. You also have the option to choose the domain “Google”. But when you export this you still get the financial entity of google. Other than that it works great.

The power of Wolframalpha. It is written with more than 15 millions lines of Mathematica code. It also runs on more than 10,000 CPUs . The power of each of these is unknown but that is still alot.

Wolframalpha can even solve very complex math problems. You can insert a problem and it will give you the answer. But not only will it give the answer it will show you the steps on how to solve it. There is nothing that I threw at it and it couldn’t solve. Wolframalpha is the coolest engine out there.

I suggest you give it a try for yourself, and see why it is so great.
